About us

Tinogasta es Vino started in 2022 with the Oenology students of IES Tinogasta: an open space about the wines of Tinogasta.

This website started in 2022 as part of the "Active Community" initiative, together with the Applied Computing course and the second-year students of the Higher Technical Degree in Oenology and Viticulture at the Tinogasta Institute of Higher Studies (IEST).

The domain and hosting are provided free of charge by Abelus.Pro, a Tinogasta company offering software development, design and web hosting services.

Contributors

We are a large team made up of institutions such as IES Tinogasta, the Municipality of Tinogasta and its Production Department; independent contributors such as Emanuel Vázquez, with professional photography; students and teachers of the Oenology degree; and Tinogasta winemakers and growers.

Our goal is to create an open, participatory space. We welcome contributions from everyone, from teachers and students of the degree, industry professionals and winemakers, to enrich it with information that matters to the industry, to tourism and to anyone who wants to know more about Tinogasta wine.

"Tinogasta es vino" is also the name used for events held around Argentina's National Wine Day, which share the purpose of this website: to spread the word about the industry and show the wines of Tinogasta.

IES Tinogasta will also use the website as a teaching resource, to publish research, fieldwork and visits to wineries by the teachers of the degree's courses.

We thank the management of the Tinogasta Institute of Higher Studies for believing in the idea and supporting us.
