The National Institute of Viticulture and Winemaking (INV) is present in Tinogasta through the office of the Tinogasta Inspection Department, run by agricultural technician Julio César Carpio (mobile: 3837-4780720).
The office is in the Tinogasta bus station, on Avenida Ilía and Reginaldo Goblet street.
The Tinogasta Inspection Department is in charge of:
- Registering and updating vineyards.
- Inspecting wineries, together with inspectors from the INV La Rioja delegation.
- Receiving wine samples and sending them to the INV La Rioja laboratory for procedural, free-circulation and export analyses.
