Syrah 2024 winemaking
Oenology students make wine from 800 kg of Syrah grapes from Dr Ely Barrios’s vineyard.
A winemaking trial with 800 kg of Syrah grapes from the vineyard of grower Dr Ely Barrios, whom we thank for his support together with his sharecropper, Prof. Jesús Ortiz. The wine is made on a custom-crush basis: 80% goes to the grower and the remaining 20% to the Oenology students, who are in charge of the whole winemaking process, coordinated by oenologist María de los Ángeles Díaz, a teacher in the programme.
